About Us

Project Dignity was founded in March 2026, by three social workers who share a common belief that everyone deserves compassion, respect, and humanity, regardless of their circumstances. Drawing from years of frontline experience in outreach, shelters, supportive housing, healthcare, harm reduction, peer support, and community services, we recognized that too many people continue to face barriers when seeking even the most basic forms of care.

Our work is informed not only by professional experience but also by lived experience. We have experienced firsthand the realities of homelessness, substance use, chronic illness and disability, mental health challenges, and systemic barriers. Those experiences shape our commitment to building services that are compassionate, accessible, and rooted in genuine human connection.

Project Dignity was created to fill the gaps in existing community services by reaching people who may not be accessing traditional supports or who have been left waiting for help. We believe that meaningful change begins with trust, consistency, and showing up for people as they are.

As our organization grows, we remain committed to listening to the community, collaborating with local partners, and creating responsive services that reflect the needs of the people we serve.
