Why We Exist
People living with trauma, disability, or substance use are corralled into unsafe, chaotic housing for years while waiting for support that may never come. They’re told to be patient while their needs go unmet. Project Dignity doesn’t ask people to wait. It shows up where they are—with warmth, safety, and humanity.
As Katie writes:
“There is no getting it right. There is going out with hopes and hearts and just being radically kind.”
This is the first step. Not a building. Not a bureaucracy. Just a van and a vision that says: You matter. Right now.
